What is a temperature probe?

The temperature probe is a temperature sensor. There are many different types of temperature probes, and they are used in different applications throughout the industry.

Some temperature probes can measure temperature by placing them on the surface. Others will need to be inserted or immersed in the liquid to measure the temperature. Generally, a temperature probe will measure the change in voltage and convert it into a format that can be monitored by the user.

The temperature probe can be a standard configuration or customized according to customer requirements. For example, standard types tend to be used for more common applications. In the medical industry, custom temperature probes are usually used for very special applications, such as in Motorsport or Engineering.

Different types of temperature probes

1. NTC-(negative temperature coefficient) temperature probe uses thermistor. These are usually low-cost, have a small temperature range, but tend to respond quickly and highly sensitive.

2. RTD-(Resistance Temperature Detector) temperature probe has high reliability and long life. This does make them more expensive, but they also provide a wider temperature range.

3.Thermocouples-Thermocouple temperature probes are cheaper than RTDs and provide a wide temperature range, but they are unstable over time, so some probes need to be replaced more frequently.

The temperature probe can be used in almost any industry. We think we need some more popular industries;

1. Medical

2. Motorsports

3. Dining

4. Communication

Some applications of temperature probes are common in daily life, and other applications are very specific to specific industries. These are just some of the applications we have encountered in our experience.

1. Industrial equipment

2. Patient monitoring

3. Transit

4. Computer

5. Household appliances

6. HVAC

7. Electricity and Utilities

8. Calibration and instruments

9. Laboratory

10. Energy

11.Drilling
