spo2 probe instructions and correct use method

For cleaning and disinfection, 70% ethanol solution can be used to clean the surface of the product. If you need to do low-level disinfection treatment, you can use 1:10 bleach. Do not use undiluted bleach (5%-5.25% sodium hypochlorite) or other unspecified cleaning agents, because they will cause permanent damage to the sensor. Soak a piece of clean dry gauze with cleaning fluid, then wipe the entire sensor surface and cable with this gauze; soak another clean dry gauze with disinfectant or distilled water, and then use the same gauze to wipe the entire surface of the sensor and the cable. Finally, wipe the entire surface of the sensor and cables with a piece of clean dry gauze.

1.Observe the environment where the monitoring instrument is placed, and turn on the blood oxygen monitor after it is connected to the power supply. Pay attention to check whether the equipment is in good condition;

2.Select the matching probe required by the patient (such as children, adults, infants, animals, etc.), which are also divided into finger clip type, finger sleeve type, ear clip type, silicone wrap type, etc., to check whether the patient’s detection site is suitable;

3.After connecting the adapting blood oxygen adapter cable to the device, connect the single patient blood oxygen probe;

4.After confirming that the single-patient blood oxygen probe is connected, check whether the chip is lit. If it is normally lit, tie the probe to the middle finger or index finger of the person under test. Pay attention to the binding method (the LED and PD must be aligned, and the binding must be firm and not leak light).

5.After the probe is bound, watch whether the monitor is normal.

In general, the blood oxygen probe refers to fixing the probe finger cuff on the fingertip of the patient, and through SpO2 monitoring, SpO2, pulse rate, and pulse wave can be obtained. It is applied to the patient’s blood oxygen monitoring, usually the other end is connected to the ECG monitor.
